Dr. Catherine Chatterley Founding Director Catherine Chatterley is a historian of Modern Europe, trained at The University of Chicago. She is the Founding Director of the Canadian Institute for the Study of Antisemitism (CISA) and the Founding Editor-In Chief of Antisemitism Studies, published by Indiana University Press.
Dr. Chatterley is an award-winning writer who specializes in the study of European history, with particular emphasis on the history of antisemitism and the dynamic relationship between Jews and non-Jews in Western history. Syracuse University Press published her first book, Disenchantment: George Steiner and the Meaning of Western Civilization After Auschwitz, a National Jewish Book Award Finalist in the category of Modern Jewish Thought and Experience.
Her current book is entitled The Antisemitic Imagination and it will be published by Indiana University Press in 2018.
